I hadn't intended to post again today and especially not on new state issues. However, in a comment Mark referred to a Newcastle Herald story setting out local concerns about cash raised from the Valley by Sydney compared to local spend.

Jim, still reading through that site - but it is carefully thought out and has some very good ideas. Well worth a read.
I did a pretty good search a while back and couldn't locate anyone... every avenue I followed was a dead end. Shame as a lot of work went into it - lucky that the 'Wayback Machine' caught it.
A very good find there Greg. It appears to be the work of Ian Johnston and he has put alot of thought and effort into it. Jim, are you contact with Ian? This website could be altered, adopted and resurrected?
